Safety & technology

Five layers of protection, designed in — not added on.

Safety is the foundation of every Sakshi system. Here is what each layer does, in plain language.

  • Automatic Rescue Device (ARD)

If the mains power fails, a battery-backed unit takes over, moves the car to the nearest floor and opens the doors so passengers can step out safely.

  • Full-height infrared light curtain

An invisible grid of infrared beams runs the full height of the doorway. If anything breaks the beams, the doors stop closing and reopen.

  • Overload protection

Load sensing with an audible alarm keeps the car from moving when it is carrying more than its rated capacity.

  • Speed governor & safety gear

A mechanical overspeed governor triggers safety clamps that grip the guide rails if the car ever descends faster than its safe limit.

  • Microprocessor VVVF control

A variable-voltage, variable-frequency drive manages every start and stop — gentle acceleration, soft deceleration and millimetre-level floor levelling.

Drive technology

PMSM gearless drives

Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors drive the sheave directly — no gearbox, no gearbox oil, less friction and a whisper-quiet cabin. Sakshi states up to 35% lower energy use than conventional geared traction lifts.

Sakshi Elevators states that its components, structural frames, overspeed governors, interlocks and control panels comply with IS 14665 and global lift safety codes.

FAQs

Choosing a lift

Can't find what you're looking for? Our team is happy to help.

Which type of lift is right for my building?

Homes and villas usually suit a compact home lift; apartments and offices a passenger lift; hospitals a stretcher lift; factories and warehouses a goods lift; and hotels, malls or statement lobbies a panoramic capsule lift. A short consultation and site survey confirms the right choice.

How much does a lift cost?

There is no single price — cost depends on the lift type, number of floors (stops), capacity, speed, drive system, door type, cabin finishes and site conditions such as shaft readiness. Share your requirement and Sakshi Elevators will prepare a free, itemised quotation.

Can a lift be installed in an existing home?

Yes. Machine-room-less (MRL) and compact hydraulic home lifts are engineered to fit existing stairwell voids, structural openings or external glass hoistways without heavy pit excavation.

What safety features do your lifts have?

Multi-layered safety including the Automatic Rescue Device (ARD), full-height infrared light curtain, overload protection, mechanical speed governor with emergency safety gear, and microprocessor VVVF control for smooth, accurate stops.

Can the cabin be customised?

Yes. Cabin options include brushed stainless steel (304 grade), gold finishes and custom glass panelling, and capsule lifts come in semi-circular, circular or three-side panoramic glass.
